Position:          Head Diving Coach     

Branch:           Schroeder Branch and Aquatic Center

Reports to:     Program Operation Director

Starting Salary Range:          $26,885-$33,606

Major Responsibilities

Ř      Responsible for promotion and administration of a comprehensive competitive         YMCA Diving Team and the United States Diving Program.

Ř      Develop, direct and promote the YMCA Progressive Diving Program.

Ř      Promote and administer diving camps, clinics and developmental programs.

Ř      Recruit and supervise all related staff and volunteers.

Ř      Maintain communication with key groups including Parent’s Group, community supporters, United States Diving, high school and college representatives at all levels with respect to diving programs and meets.


Ř      Bachelor’s degree required.

Ř      USD Coaching Safety Certification and lifeguard Certification required.

Ř      One to two years experience in organizing, supervising and evaluating competitive diving preferred.

Ř      Knowledge in instructional training and certification in areas of responsibility are essential.

Ř      Skills in supervision, administration and community relations are needed.
