Position: Head Diving Coach
Branch: Schroeder Branch and
Reports to: Program Operation Director

Major Responsibilities
Ø Responsible for promotion and administration of a comprehensive competitive YMCA Diving Team and the United States Diving Program.
Ø Develop, direct and promote the YMCA Progressive Diving Program.
Ø Promote and administer diving camps, clinics and developmental programs.
Ø Recruit and supervise all related staff and volunteers.
Ø Maintain communication with key groups including Parent’s Group, community supporters, United States Diving, high school and college representatives at all levels with respect to diving programs and meets.
Qualifications
Ø Bachelor’s degree required.
Ø USD Coaching Safety Certification and lifeguard Certification required.
Ø One to two years experience in organizing, supervising and evaluating competitive diving preferred.
Ø Knowledge in instructional training and certification in areas of responsibility are essential.
Ø Skills in supervision, administration and community relations are needed.
Ø The incumbent will exhibit the core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility is all aspects of their work with the YMCA.
